Little Voices

Speaking & Self-expression

A gentle introduction to speaking with others: sharing an idea, asking a question or telling a short story, without pressure to perform.

Children sharing ideas in a teacher-guided story circle

WHY THIS MATTERS

Little experiences.
Meaningful practice.

Conversation, storytelling and role play give children ways to use language and share ideas. Speaking to a small, supportive group offers practice with self-expression and listening without demanding a polished performance.

AT PLAY SCHOOL MASTERMIND

Our learning approach

Teacher-guided play makes room for practice, conversation and individual support. Examples for this learning area include:

  • Name or describe an object, picture or creation.
  • Share a favourite moment through show-and-tell or a puppet conversation.
  • Retell a short story or explain an idea to a small group when comfortable.

Activities are adapted to each child’s stage and the current class plan.

A JOURNEY AT THEIR OWN PACE
